Our Safe Sitter® class is a nationally recognized babysitting training program developed to prepare youth in grades 6–8 to become responsible, safe, and confident when caring for themselves or other children. With a hands-on, interactive curriculum, this course empowers preteens to manage real-life situations, make safe choices, and respond to emergencies.
This class is ideal for middle schoolers who may be staying home alone, watching younger siblings, or beginning to babysit. It provides valuable life skills and increases maturity and readiness for real-world caregiving.
How to handle emergencies, prevent injuries, and stay safe indoors and outdoors.
Understanding child development, managing behavior, and basic child care like feeding and diapering.
How to respond to injuries and illnesses, perform choking rescue, and practice CPR.
Interviewing with parents, setting boundaries, screening jobs, and professionalism.
This instructor-led class includes video-based learning, role-playing, group discussions, and CPR manikin practice to reinforce hands-on rescue skills. The environment is welcoming and fun, with interactive scenarios and confidence-building exercises.
A parent or guardian must complete and submit a permission packet before the class. Download the Safe Sitter® packet and bring the completed forms to class.
Please submit a separate registration for each child to ensure accurate record keeping.
