Clinical Handbook

Prerequisites
In order to participate in clinical time, you must have the following:

  • An overall course grade greater than 80%
  • N95 documentation uploaded on Canvas
  • All clinical documents at 100%
  • Completed orientation

Uniform
All students attending clinical must be dressed in the following:

  • NHCPR polo shirt tucked in
  • EMS Uniform pants in navy
  • Black belt
  • Black boots (EMS style; no sneakers)
    Optional: White or navy long or short sleeve t-shirt under the polo

NHCPR does have an affiliation with East Coast Outfitters in Manchester, NH and they offer a discount on uniforms for NHCPR students with proof of enrollment. Other retailers such as 5.11 and Amazon (among many others) will also have uniform options.

On Arrival

  • Introduce yourself as a student from NHCPR and ask if there is a shift supervisor you should speak to
  • You should be directed to either a supervisor or a chosen preceptor for the day

Clinical Shift Call Out Protocol
Under each clinical location, contact information is provided for you to call and/or email in the chance you are unable to make your scheduled shift. Please keep in mind, this should only be used in cases of illness or emergency.
After contacting your clinical site, please email clinical@nhcpr.com ASAP to inform of the change and to schedule a new shift
